Description
The Lodar 9813 locator cradle is designed to store your handset wherever is most convenient. Simply install the cradle on the dashboard, armrest, center console, door panel or anywhere else you can think inside your vehicle where you would like to keep your Lodar handy.
The 9813 locator is unique because of its incorporated sensor with a beeper. The sensor checks to see if your handset is safely inside the cradle. When the handset is removed the cradle beeps continuously however when the transmitter is in place the beeping stops.
You are able to easily set the frequency and volume at which the sensor notifies you. To programme the sensor all you do is press the button on the circuit board. Pressing the button repeatedly a set number of times will programme the beeper as follows:
- 30 Second High Volume
- 30 Second Low Volume
- 15 Second High Volume
- 15 Second Low Volume
- 7 Second High Volume
- 7 Second Low Volume
- Continuous Loud Volume
- Continuos Low Volume
For easy reference this list is also printed on the circuit board and when power is connected to the cradle the LED on the board will flash a number of times to confirm the current programme number.
The cradle is supplied with a small piece of reflective tape that should be attached to the back of the handset. Keep in mind that the sensor only reads the reflective tape on the transmitter. If the tape is not on the transmitter the cradle will not detect any remote and the cradle will keep beeping at you.
For optimal operation the cradle needs to be installed to the 12v ignition system by a competent individual. Wiring to a permanent feed is not advised.
Lodar locators can be extremely useful, especially if you are on the go and have a lot of equipment to keep up with and can help save the cost of losing a handset.
